5D Embroidery Software Club for Viking and Pfaff/ Morning
3rd Thursday of the month, 10:00am - 12:30pm ; Prerequisite: Must have completed basic 5D Embroidery level 1, and have purchased this software from Montavilla Sewing Machines. The software must be the Viking Professional or Pfaff Suite Description: We will explore some of the other modules in the software with project lessons provided to us from Pfaff & Viking. Pfaff Foot of the Month Quilt Class Instructor: Debbie Turner This club will meet on the 1st Wednesday of each month beginning in March, 2012: The Foot of the Month Quilt uses a variety of different machine feet and we will be learning different techniques each month. You will begin by picking out your fabrics. There are a total of 14 fabrics used in this quilt: twelve different fabrics in the basic pieced background and two (a batik and a solid) for the leaves. They are arranged by color from light to dark. We will use the batik as the basis for the color scheme, and pull the remaining solid colors from it. Any weight quilting fabric can be used for this project. In the first class we will cut the fabric for the whole quilt. Then each following month we will learn the next technique, systematically progressing toward completion of the quilt. The Pfaff quilt is a beautiful combination of decorative stitches, unique embellishments and detailed craftsmanship. This amazing quilt is topped off with free standing leaves and decorative beads. If you want to take your quilting to the next level, this is definitely the class for you! This club is open for registration only through the month of March. * Upon enrollment you will be contacted and given fabric requirements for the whole quilt. * A Sewing Supply list and class overview will be handed out each month for the following month’s class.

Pfaff Foot of the Month Quilt Club 2

We will meet on the first friday of every month from 10 - 12:30. Bring your machine and sew along as you get a monthly chapter in a story of an Oregon Pioneer. There is a quilt block pattern and instructions to go along with each chapter, and since supply lists and cutting directions are emailed to student about a week in advance, you have a good shot at getting the block done in the time allowed. I try to include a different technique each month, so you get to try the latest tips and methods. Quilt club meets on the first Friday of the month at Beaverton store 10 AM to 12:30
Viking Club - Gresham
This club meets every second Friday from 2 - 4:30pm at our Gresham store. We will be working on projects that will help you get to know your machine better. Our focus will be on the different techniques that you can do with your machine and be able to apply them to various projects. September 1, 2011, only sewing machines purchased from Montavilla Sewing Center can be used in Montavilla Sewing Center clubs. If you are already a member of our clubs and are bringing in a sewing machine not purchased from Montavilla, then you will be "Grandfathered" in through the end of your membership year with no added cost. At the end of your membership year, the standard club fee will double. (Again, this is only for those who are "Grandfathered" in.) If you have moved to the Portland area from over 50 miles away and bought a machine from an authorized dealer, then you will be "adopted" in to our program at no additional cost. For all other machines, we will gladly provide one on one, instructor guided lessons for machines purchased from other retailers $45.00 per hour.
Viking Embroidery Club A
This club will meet every third Wednesday from 10 to 2. It is available for customers that have purchased their Viking Diamond from Montavilla Sewing Centers.
Viking Embroidery Club B
Come and take a refresher course in hooping and use a variety of stabilizers. We will do beautiful cutwork, applique, free standing insertion lace, use the majestic hoop, learn to embroidery on a variety of mediums, from leather to elegant fabrics, range of in the hoop projects, the list goes on.
