What do all these sewing techniques mean?
Embroidery Design – use purchased designs or create your own Free-motion Quilting – stitch in any direction you choose, follow a pattern that you drew on the fabric or make your own free-flowing design Thread Painting – using free-motion stitching to literally paint an illustration or design with different colored threads Printing on Fabric – print a graphic, photo or illustration directly onto canvas, then use it in your sewing project Quilting-in-the-Hoop – use your embroidery hoop to quilt your project with specific kinds of stitches and techniques (see our quilting classes for lots of fun ways to learn this technique Classes by Patrice Wong Text |
