
Beginning Sewing 1 w/Robin
Beginning Sewing I is a three session course with three hours each session, taught by Certified Islander Sewing Instructor, Robin Bolton. She will show adults and young adults (14 or older) the basics of garment sewing. Students will learn about grain, fabric preparation, cutting, and how to read pattern guides. Basic seam allowances and seam finishes, waist bands, hems and zipper installation will be also be taught. Then construct a skirt or pajama pants of your choice with Robin's help. Students must be able to thread their own machines. Purchase of pattern and fabric required as well as homework. Additional instructions will be sent upon registration.
There is also a $10 kit fee, payable in cash to Robin on the first day of class.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Class, club, and event fees are nonrefundable. You must cancel 72 hours before the first session of the class, club, or event to receive store credit or apply the fee to another class, club or event. However, if the instructor or Montavilla Sewing Centers has to cancel a class, club, or event, you have the option for a store credit or full refund. Students must bring their own machines to all classes, unless otherwise noted. We request that you do not bring children or guests to the classes. Thank you!
