Couched Corded Collage
Led by Helene Knott
This process is an exploration into line, shape, and texture through the application of couched yarns and cords. Varying colors, weights, and textures of yarn will be couched down by machine to create a tapestry of organic shapes reminiscent of banded agate or aerial landscapes. The composition can be planned like a mosaic collage or applied spontaneously, changing colors and textures at whim. This is an excellent project to use up leftover and salvaged bits and balls of yarn. This would make a wonderful embellishment on a garment or bag.

Class, club, and event fees are nonrefundable. You must cancel 72 hours before the first session of the class, club, or event to receive store credit or apply the fee to another class, club or event. However, if the instructor or Montavilla Sewing Centers has to cancel a class, club, or event, you have the option for a store credit or full refund. Students must bring their own machines to all classes, unless otherwise noted. We request that you do not bring children or guests to the classes. Thank you!
