Service & Repair

Having trouble with your machine? Here's what you need to know...

Try Rethreading Your Machine

95% of all machine problems we see are actually not machine problems at all, but related to the machines not being threaded correctly. Take your thread & bobbin out, rethread them carefully, and give it another try.

Try Replacing Your Needle

Sometimes it's really hard to tell if a needle is bent or dull, so if you're having issues, try replacing the needle. Also make sure that the needle you're using is the correct type for the fabric you're sewing on.

Try Different Thread

Thread breaking or fraying? Maybe try newer, better quality thread. If the thread is old or of poor quality, it tends to break easily or give inconsistent thread tensions.

Maybe It's Time For a Tune-Up?

If your machine gets a lot of use (or if it hasn't been used in years), it might be time for a full service. Sewing machines, like cars, need to be serviced, cleaned and oiled periodically to keep them running smoothly. Most brands recommend servicing your machine every year.
