Folded Star Hot Pad

The folded Star Hot Pad is so fun to make and adds such a bright spot in any kitchen. We will be using Prairie Points and glue to lay out the design in this class. One has so many choices of fabrics to use for each layer of the hot pad. It is a great way to use up some of those fat quarters laying around. Let your imagination go wild and have fun making some great gifts to use for those hostess gifts, birthdays, or to give to a neighbor for any occasion. So easy and fun to make.
Supply List
- A working sewing machine that you are familiar with using.
- 4 fat quarters using different color combinations. Remember the fabrics will look much different when cut into 5 inch squares and then folded.
- 1 ten inch square for the backing of the hot pad
- Enough fabric to bind it. Bias binding will work best
- The template for your first hot pad will be provided.
- A good glue stick works will, especially the flues made for fabric
- Bring your usual sewing supplies and a bobbin with thread to match your backing or a clear mono poly thread.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Class, club, and event fees are nonrefundable. You must cancel 72 hours before the first session of the class, club, or event to receive store credit or apply the fee to another class, club or event. However, if the instructor or Montavilla Sewing Centers has to cancel a class, club, or event, you have the option for a store credit or full refund. Students must bring their own machines to all classes, unless otherwise noted. We request that you do not bring children or guests to the classes. Thank you!
