Intro to Machine Embroidery: Organza Flowers
Led by Elaine Knippers
Come and learn how to embroider on Organza. In this class we will learn how to layer and sew several free standing flowers using this fabric. Organza is beautiful and can be used for Autumn leaves to make a wreath or make small gift bags for a special occasion like birthdays, weddings, Christmas or more. Come and learn the many uses of this unique fabric.
Please note, students need to be familiar with how to operate their embroidery machines (basic operations, threading, etc.) in order to take this class. If you need help learning how to use your machine, please contact one of our locations to inquire about private lessons.
Supply List
For this class I will supply organza for one or two flowers and you can bring some to play with. It is not expensive fabric, can be easily found in many Fabric Stores, and it is so fun to use. Bring your usual machine embroidery supplies, water soluble stabilizer and at least a 5 x 7 inch embroidery hoop. Pick out thread colors to match your organza. I will have a variety of pink colors here for class to try. See you soon for a fun time learning about organza fabrics and great ways to use it in embroidery project.
