Moon Eclipse Quilt
The project for this class combines circles with a ‘Robbing Peter to Pay Paul’ construction method that uses a selection of scrappy or color coordinated fine to medium textured prints to create pieced background blocks with machine appliqued moons. The method used to apply the circles is faced applique, which results in perfectly shaped circles without adhesive that makes the quilt stiff. The resulting block appears to have eclipsed moons. Blocks in the sample finish at 9” but this is a carefree project; you can make blocks larger if you wish or increase the number you make to make a quilt in any size. This is a great ‘stash buster’ project.

Class, club, and event fees are nonrefundable. You must cancel 72 hours before the first session of the class, club, or event to receive store credit or apply the fee to another class, club or event. However, if the instructor or Montavilla Sewing Centers has to cancel a class, club, or event, you have the option for a store credit or full refund. Students must bring their own machines to all classes, unless otherwise noted. We request that you do not bring children or guests to the classes. Thank you!
