Rope Baskets
This project is perfect for gifts and so fun you will want to keep making them. Janet did this technique 35 years ago and now it has come back with a little twist.
Learn secrets on how to sew through cotton cording and how to adjust your machine tension for a perfect stitch, then embroidering on the bottom of the basket to make a perfect gift. Lots of tips and different ideas to make each one unique. All you need is cotton clothesline and a simple design to download on your machine. You will be hooked on how fun it is. You will also learn how to finish the basket with different techniques with thread, material and specialty threads. Bring your sewing machine, embroidery unit and a 5 x 7 hoop. Stabilizer will be provided.

Class, club, and event fees are nonrefundable. You must cancel 72 hours before the first session of the class, club, or event to receive store credit or apply the fee to another class, club or event. However, if the instructor or Montavilla Sewing Centers has to cancel a class, club, or event, you have the option for a store credit or full refund. Students must bring their own machines to all classes, unless otherwise noted. We request that you do not bring children or guests to the classes. Thank you!
