Beginning Serger Class
Are you unsure about your serger? Is it sitting in a closet or become a giant paperweight on your sewing table? Do you really want a serger but you are a little afraid of it?
This Class Is For You!
At the conclusion of this class you will better understand your serger and what it can do for you.
- We will cover stitch options and what you might use them for while creating a sample notebook.
- We will troubleshoot why your stitch might not have turned out as expected.
- We will construct a Basic T-shirt.
We will talk about fabrics and fabric preparation during the first class. We will be using the Concord T-Shirt Pattern By Cashmerette. Pattern is available for Purchase (15% discount) at the Beaverton Store. There are 2 size ranges, 0-12 and 12-32. Please call the Beaverton store to reserve your size range.
You will need to bring your serger to class, and be familiar with how to thread it for a basic overlock stitch. If you do not currently have a serger please contact the Beaverton Store upon signing up to discuss loan or purchase options.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Class, club, and event fees are nonrefundable. You must cancel 72 hours before the first session of the class, club, or event to receive store credit or apply the fee to another class, club or event. However, if the instructor or Montavilla Sewing Centers has to cancel a class, club, or event, you have the option for a store credit or full refund. Students must bring their own machines to all classes, unless otherwise noted. We request that you do not bring children or guests to the classes. Thank you!
