Learn to make your own Kimono Style Robe or Pajama Top using a commercial sewing pattern and fabric of your choice.
What you will learn:
- How to read and follow a sewing pattern
- Basic sewing skills and common apparel sewing terms
- Simple pattern fitting alterations
- Woven fabric characteristics and best practices
- Making nice seam finishes using a Serger
- Using basic sewing and pressing tools
- Positioning Pockets; Buttons and Buttonholes (if choosing Pajama Top)
What you need to know in advance:
- How to use your sewing machine and Some sewing experience (minimum 2 hours)
- Recommended: to take Beginning Sewing Level 1 prior to Level 2.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Class, club, and event fees are nonrefundable. You must cancel 72 hours before the first session of the class, club, or event to receive store credit or apply the fee to another class, club or event. However, if the instructor or Montavilla Sewing Centers has to cancel a class, club, or event, you have the option for a store credit or full refund. Students must bring their own machines to all classes, unless otherwise noted. We request that you do not bring children or guests to the classes. Thank you!
