Binding 101
Led by Lisa Goodloe
Your quilts are made, but you don’t know how to finish them? Binding 101 is for you.
Just bring either your project, or a “quilt sandwich”** (see supply list for instruction) and your binding fabric to learn the traditional method of applying binding with your sewing machine, and hand stitching it to the back of the project.
You will learn:
- To calculate how much binding is needed for this and future projects
- How to cut regular and bias binding
- How begin and end the application
- Making and applying a sleeve for hanging

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Class, club, and event fees are nonrefundable. You must cancel 72 hours before the first session of the class, club, or event to receive store credit or apply the fee to another class, club or event. However, if the instructor or Montavilla Sewing Centers has to cancel a class, club, or event, you have the option for a store credit or full refund. Students must bring their own machines to all classes, unless otherwise noted. We request that you do not bring children or guests to the classes. Thank you!
