Ready to master the final step of quilt‑making? In this class, you’ll learn how to bind a quilt with ease, exploring a few variations to suit your style. Leave class feeling empowered to give your quilts polished, beautiful edges every time. Bring your ready to bind quilt, or a small sample (see supplies list) and your sewing machine for this hands on class!
You will learn to:
- Accurately calculate needed fabric and number of strips for any quilt project
- Cut straight and bias binding strips and best uses for each type
- Attach strips together for a seamless look
- Easily miter corners for a polished finish
- Measure for and attach the binding end perfectly, every time
- Attach a sleeve and a label before and after binding is done (optional)
- Variations of attaching, and stitching to suit your quilting style

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Class, club, and event fees are nonrefundable. You must cancel 72 hours before the first session of the class, club, or event to receive store credit or apply the fee to another class, club or event. However, if the instructor or Montavilla Sewing Centers has to cancel a class, club, or event, you have the option for a store credit or full refund. Students must bring their own machines to all classes, unless otherwise noted. We request that you do not bring children or guests to the classes. Thank you!
