Create Faux Log Cabin Blocks with FTCU

In this class you will design at least one faux log cabin block (8” square) using the Floriani FTCU software. Motifs (decorative stitches) will be used to create different “logs” instead of piecing different fabrics. This is a great way to learn how to use FTCU motif stitches. Create four blocks and make a pillow. Make more blocks and create a wall hanging sampler of various motif stitches for your sewing room. The super ambitious can make a whole quilt.
A log cabin template design in waf format (FTCU) and a detailed inventory of FTCU motifs will be emailed to each student before class. Each student will also receive a handout in class with tips on how to use motifs and the log cabin template.
Basic knowledge of FTCU is required, such as selecting an object, applying stitches and opening and saving a file. Students will need to bring a laptop to class with the most recent version of FTCU installed. No embroidery will be done in class.

However, if the instructor or Montavilla Sewing Centers has to cancel a class, club, or event, you have the option for a store credit or full refund.
