Get To Know Your Machine... Stitches, Feet, & Fun!
In this sewing class, we get back to the basics of our sewing machine. We rediscover all of our beautiful stitches, functionality and features on the sewing side of our machines. You will also learn how to use some technique feet and difficult threads, to create a beautiful wall hanging.
This class meets once a week for 6 weeks, and is a hands on class that requires you to bring your sewing machine. You will not need to bring your embroidery unit.

- Free Motion Spring foot
- Gathering Foot
- Pintuck Foot (3, 5, or 7)
- Piping foot (small)
- Welting Foot or Zipper foot
- Open Toe Applique Foot
- Decorative foot (standard)
- Optional… Candlewicking foot
- Twin Needle (1.5mm or 2.0mm)
- Water soluble pen (blue)
- Wing needle
- Light fabric : 1.5 yards
- Medium fabric : 2 fat quarters
- Dark fabric : 1.5 yards
- 1pkg. fusible batting
- 1 pkg. steam a seam 2 sheets OR Hot Fix Adhesive
- Corresponding threads to match your fabrics

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Class, club, and event fees are nonrefundable. You must cancel 72 hours before the first session of the class, club, or event to receive store credit or apply the fee to another class, club or event. However, if the instructor or Montavilla Sewing Centers has to cancel a class, club, or event, you have the option for a store credit or full refund. Students must bring their own machines to all classes, unless otherwise noted. We request that you do not bring children or guests to the classes. Thank you!
