Hot & Heavy CLEAR

I thought it would be FUN to make the “byAnnie” Hot & Heavy pattern out of CLEAR Vinyl. These spacious zippered bags in two sizes will hold a variety of items. Small: 7” high x 10 ¼” wide x 5½” deep. Large: 9 ½” high x 13 ¼” wide x 7” deep.

The plastic is thick enough to hold sharp metal item, waterproof so you can take it to the beach and/or pool. Each features a zippered pocket on the front of the bag and a mesh divider and/or slip pocket inside. Rings attached at the handle may be used to attach a shoulder strap. I will provide you with directions on how I adapted this pattern to clear vinyl. By eliminating foam stabilizer, lining & quilting the construction of this bag will be a simpler assembly process.

Prior experience making the byAnnie Clam Up is helpful but is not necessary. If you desire to make this pattern NOT Clear but quilted with foam stabilizer as pattern was designed, you are most welcome to do that. If you would rather make multiple Clam Up instead of the larger Hot & Heavy that would also be acceptable. Jayne will email students with information about cutting out and
labeling all pieces prior to the first class.

Patterns designed byAnnie appeal to sewists of all ages and levels. The detailed instructions can be a little overwhelming so let retired high school sewing instructor & Palmer Pletsch Certified Instructor, Jayne Vetter guide you in the construction & completion of these professional looking projects.

The Pattern/s are not included in the class fee but available for purchase at Montavilla Sewing Centers. 15% class participant discount can be used to purchase pattern & materials for making this bag.
