Machine Quilting Workshop
Led by Helene Knott
This comprehensive class will cover the basics of machine quilting in-depth, including tools, materials, techniques, and how to choose a quilting design for quilting with a domestic sewing machine. You will work with various designs and methods to render them on a small sampler. Learning and perfecting your skills on small to medium-sized quilts before tackling larger projects is best. Once you are comfortable with the techniques and what your machine is capable of, you can work up to larger quilts, which require more focus and control to manage the bulky layers of fabric and batting. Don’t let machine quilting intimidate you. This class is geared for raw beginners but also has techniques and information that would be illuminating for more advanced quilters.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Class, club, and event fees are nonrefundable. You must cancel 72 hours before the first session of the class, club, or event to receive store credit or apply the fee to another class, club or event. However, if the instructor or Montavilla Sewing Centers has to cancel a class, club, or event, you have the option for a store credit or full refund. Students must bring their own machines to all classes, unless otherwise noted. We request that you do not bring children or guests to the classes. Thank you!
