Exploring Landscapes Through Fabric
Whether you are creating your own original landscape quilt or making a landscape quilt from a commercial pattern, there are principles involving scale, coloration, and perspective that are essential to compose a scene that captures the mood and atmosphere. When you encounter nature in person, there are aspects beyond just the visual that enhance the experience. Interpreting those in a two-dimensional composition can be challenging but it’s amazing what the right fabric can do for your quilt.
In this presentation, I will show you how to choose and use fabrics, and see their potential to create truly stunning masterpieces that will elevate a pictorial quilt design into a grand presentation. The information I will present will be a benefit to anyone who would like learn more about the nuances of creating beautiful pictorial quilts and be invaluable to those who may attend any of my Landscape Quilt classes to come.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Class, club, and event fees are nonrefundable. You must cancel 72 hours before the first session of the class, club, or event to receive store credit or apply the fee to another class, club or event. However, if the instructor or Montavilla Sewing Centers has to cancel a class, club, or event, you have the option for a store credit or full refund. Students must bring their own machines to all classes, unless otherwise noted. We request that you do not bring children or guests to the classes. Thank you!
