Adult Beginning Sewing

So, you have a cool new sewing machine, or you have a sewing machine collecting dust and are thinking perhaps you would like to learn how to sew something with it.

Well, here’s your chance!

I am offering an Adult Beginning Sewing class. This class will cover fabric types, tools needed to be successful at sewing, different types of stitching and when to use them, how to sew long seams, attach interfacing, make a casing, and put in a zipper.

You will leave the class with a pretty pillowcase, a cosmetic bag and a drawstring bag that you made yourself! Plus, you will have the confidence and ability to sew these items again and other items in the book all by yourself.

The class fee includes kits to make the pillowcase, cosmetic bag and drawstring bag. 

You will be required to purchase the book that the class is based on (see below). This book will allow you to go on after the class and create some other fun projects.

I have years of training and sewing experience and enjoy teaching others the joy of sewing and making your own garments and crafts. This class is designed to be a segue to the Classic Dress Making classes that I teach on a regular basis, other types of classes that pique your interest, or a place to begin your sewing journey.
